Love Vs Arranged Marriage

PS: I drafted this blog long back in 2008 when I was darn scared abt arranged marriages...n when I had lost almost all hopes of finding my someone special who is born for me :P....little did I know that "He" has already found me by then and was waiting to enter my world......never expected I will have my own crazy/filmy love story....anyway the draft goes like this....

Ohkk Guyz....get urself introduced to my new style of writing .....Interview style (Q n A form) !! :P hehe........trying to be creative may get CRAZY at times, not my fault !! :P

Note 1: The asker and askee are both myself !! :P ....(Hullooooo, plz stop the grammer check on the sentence!! :P)

Note 2: The following answers are completely based on my opinion (which are forced to get biased towards arranged marriages for now :P), so donot mean to offend any lovers out there :P

Q: Which one do I prefer, love or arranged?

Ans: Both are pretty daunting right now :P.

Q: Advantages of Love marriages?

Ans: Well! you KNOW the person very well before you tie the knot.....you actually fall in LOVE (woww!!).......and you cannot live without that person ( it seems :P ).....wtever it is, the appealing side of it is that you are already comfortable with the person and you look forward to share a lifetime with him.......you admire each other , you fight, you patch up, you basically know all the traits in a person and you get used to them well b4 marriage which makes life easier :).......

Q: Well, so what are the disadvantages of love marriages?

Ans: The reason of increased divorce rate in love marriages is mainly coz ppl take each other for granted.....n things apparently CHANGE after marriage!!.....the equation is completely different b4 and after marriage.....b4 marriage its love, after marriage its more of commitment.........n the intial enthusiam and the trials to impress gradually fade off........which paves way to,.the promises not being kept, expectations being broken.......which leads to disappointment and discontentment.......

Q: Advantages of Arranged marriages!! :)

Ans: The cliched phrase "You have changed so much !!" doesnt exist here :P :))........mainly arranged marriage fares better than love marriage coz both of them know that they are not getting married to the guy/gal of their dreams!!.....they are already prepared in their head that they should adjust......n so no breaking of dreams/expectations :)))....

Arranged marriages tend to hav a wrong notion in most of ppls minds.....things have changed now.....its not anything like u get to see his face directly on the wedding day.......you are given ample time to understand the person after meeting a couple of times and given a choice to proceed only if you are comfortable with him.......ther is no force at all.....

Life feels exciting with a new person......you can discover a new thing about him everyday :)) (ofcourse this can be counted in disadvantges as well :P)......you actually try to change yourself to impress him (This can be surprisingly exciting !! :) ).....its a whole new world which seems quite thrilling......

Q: Disadvantages of arranged marriages!!

Ans: Well, deciding your LIFE PARTNER by a couple of meetings is definetely gonna top the list of its drawbacks :(......its purely a game of luck......having to select smeone based on pics is sheer gambling......Looks definitely are not the ONLY thing which should be considered......Seriously, I myself feel I deserve smeone much much better than what my looks deserve......but unfortunately thats how things work, coz the other way is practically not possible.......

Q: What according to me is the secret of a successful marriage?

Ans: The success of marriage doesnt depend on whether it is love/arranged. It all depends on the ppl involved. All it takes is a bit of maturity, understanding, compromise and ofcourse love :).....but ofcourse gifts/surprises/dates etc are must :P hehe...

Final Q: Soo Have i given up on love mariage completely??..

Ans: Hell NO!!...Not untill I get married !! :P....

Mission 2010 !!! :))

Guyzzz!!! 2010 is finally here..
Now! Now is the time to make new resolutions.....
(next week, we can take them light as usual :P ;) )

So my resolutions for 2010 are:

To get the opportunity of paying income tax :P
To not experience another summer/winter in Cincinnati!! :P
To try to stay within budget! ( whose budget? :P)
To control on chocolates, cakes and icecreams....Seriously Honestly Truly madly Deeply !! :P
To wear my new clothes atleast 3 times before I start getting bored of them! :P
To try to restrict the usage of :P smiley in writing job cover letters! :P
To try not to bore my advisor with the same excuses for missing the deadlines. Will think of more innovative ones. :P
To check my emails only 10-15 times a day :P
To try to figure out why I really need 6 e-mail addresses :P
To make sure I send the mails without forgetting the attachments!
To stop getting depressed about how no-one cares to send me emails! :P
To try to remember taking quarters before goin all the way down to the laundry room.
To publish a paper on "What all things can go wrong in a research work!"
To stop wondering if indeed the world ll end in 2012 ! :P
To start wondering if indeed i ll get a job in 2010 ! :P
To try not to wear the same set of clothes the next day just coz noone seemed to notice me :P.
To watch "Shawshank Redemption" once more and try to figure out why I dont think it deserves to be the No.1 Movie.
To do a practical research on "why girls like shopping" :P
To drink less of juice and more of water.
To stop taking crocin for every damn thing. :P
To stop spelling friends as "freinds" :P
To not see any horror movie featuring a small girl in a white frock sitting silently and singing songs !
To try not to be too imaginative in figuring out the shadows on the wall at night !
To try to wake up after atleast 3 snoozes of alarm.
To stop expecting a package even if I had not ordered anything :P
To try to cook without disarming the smoke alarm :P.
To sleep continuosly for 36 hrs ! :)
To stop getting frustrated about only 450 day time minutes and start rejoicing for free atnt-atnt minutes :P.
To stop looking at Linda Goodman love compatibility with every crush I have ! :P
To stop wondering about what my last name would be after my marriage :P

You have met this guy......who is jus perfect for you.......u jus cnt help wondering hw much u both r meant to be made for each other......u r glad that after the long wait, THE guy has finally landed in your life.......you are sure that he is THE ONE......u cant ask for more.....the spark in his eyes, his cute smile, his attitude, the right tinge of intelligence u wanted, the right amount of sense of humour u wished for, the sensibility u asked for, n the obvious list of understanding, love, care everything, everything.........what should you do?
